Theasin is the name of a planet that inhabits the material plane.

It has four continents: Kyse, Mazkadan, Gher, and Iyskandara. Multiple large archipelagos used to exist until an event known as The Sinking

The Continents

Kyse

The Middle Continent of Kyse was known 400 years ago to be a bastion of civilization to the other three continents. Now it is considered to be a backwater. (Dr. Stennan Barich)

Known as the Middle Continent to outsiders, Kyse is a large, sprawling continent that was originally home to both the Dwarves, Halflings, and the Elves. It enjoys constant trade from the other continents due to it being a central location for exchange of goods.

3000 years ago, the Kysic Empire was the largest and most powerful empire on the continent, holding sway over other continents, it collapsed due to internal strife and the migration of the Dragonborn from the then sinking archipelagos. The empire's collapse saw a massive power vacuum, this left the continent in almost a constant state of war between the new duchies and petty kingdoms on the continent.

The continent was the epicenter for the Undead Invasion, which saw the death of many of the continent's inhabitants and the temporary alliance of the warring nations. The invasion was stopped by a group of travelling knights who traveled to the Dying Spire and slayed the council of necromancers who started it. The remains of the undead territory is known as the Forsaken North, a band of knights known as The Forsaken Legion patrol the north and make sure no invaders go south. Drow and Orcish raiding parties are still thought to be an issue to the peoples on the continent

Mazkadan

A cacophony of different peoples, warring tribes, and trading partners. (Dwarven Merchant Captain)

Known as Dà Shìjiè Shù to the central peoples of the continent, Mazkadan is a massive landmass filled with diverse groups of people. Man and the Gnomes are thought to have emerged from the south of the continent

The peoples of the continent are constantly exposed to war, stability is something no state on the continent can expect, with the longest lasting being the isolationist Hazakazane Kingdom. With this being stated, these countries are not poor by any means, the warm climate allows for exotic spices and foods to be produced, producing a boon to trade. Gold is also something abundant on the continent, with at least a quarter of the world's supply coming from this continent.

Gher

Land of the magician and the scholar, and of slaves and decadence. (Anonymous)

Gher or Okarthel to the native Lizardfolk, Gher is a continent of vast tropical forests and mountainous coastlines, it is the continent in which the Lizardfolk, Yuan-Ti, and the Aarakocra call their homeland.

Present society on the island is cosmopolitan, mainly dominated by human interests, as such, most other races (mainly the native races) are either enslaved or are considered second-class citizens. With most labor on the island being done by the other races. This has made the human populace place their interests into topics such as magic and the sciences, thus making the civilizations on the continent the most technologically advanced in the world.

Rebel and guerilla groups on the island's hinterland pose a major danger to humans who venture out of the cities, and many have either been found to be eaten, killed, or simply missing.

Iyskandara

We can say, without a doubt, that we are the current cradle of civilization. (Iyskandaran Consul Verras Eburnius, 366 PIU)

Iyskandara is a large archipelago/continent the inhabits the east portion of the planet. It is made up of two large islands, five smaller islands, and eight island chains. From these, races such as the Tabaxi, Satyr, Nymph, Firbolg, Genasi, and the Triton call this continent and the island chains their home.

There is only one nation on the continent, the Iyskandaran Federation, a massive federation of smaller kingdoms and city-states united under one banner and one council. It has known stability for the past 100 years since it has been founded. This stability has allowed steady progress of scientific and legal matters. Most of the continent are isolationist, however, and typically do not allow outsiders to enter.
